For those injured on the job, when a work injury leaves you unable to return to your usual work, a disability pension may be available. There are important offsets to consider in any pension planning. A regular pension will offset workers' comp benefits. In most cases, a disability pension will not offset worker's comp. On the other hand, a regular pension generally will not reduce no-fault benefits. A disability pension paid for the same injuries resulting from an auto accident will reduce no-fault benefits.
Our principal areas of practice are workers’ comp, social security disability and construction injury cases. Our associates may be able to assist you with other legal matters.
